Ski holidays in Bad Gastein & Bad Hofgastein
These two resorts are famous spa towns, and are fast becoming popular destinations on the british ski market. the centre of Bad Gastein, which crosses over a large waterfall, has a very grand atmosphere, whilst Bad Hofgastein is more typical of an Austrian ski resort.
When you're not skiing there are many things to do including sampling the spa facilities, tea dancing or relaxing in a more informal bar after a hard day on the slopes. The extensive skiing covers 250km of piste split over four separate areas and is well suited to all levels of skiers. Beginners may find Bad Hofgastein more suitable and will enjoy the nursery slopes of Angertal and should soon progress onto the Schlossalm. The intermediates among you have the choice of the whole area to ski, all of which should keep you occupied throughout your stay. Advanced skiers should try the Graukogel run down to Bad Gastein or sample some of the runs on and off piste in Sport Gastein from Kreuzkogel to Heilstollen.
