Ski holidays in Mayrhofen

Mayrhofen sits at the end of the Ziller Valley before it rises into the Tux Valley, Mayrhofen is a firm favourite with British skiers and offers some excellent skiing. The après-ski is varied to suit everyone and ranges from quiet restaurants to lively bars and night clubs.

The Mayrhofen ski area was expanded a few years ago to include the lifts of Lanersbach and the Eggalm and now covers over 140km of piste, while the whole area covered by the Super Zillertal pass including the Hintertux glacier extends to almost 500km of piste!

Beginners will find some excellent slopes on the Penken mountain, at over 1800m, reached by the Penken gondola. As much of the skiing lies between 1500m and 2500m you should find good snow conditions here throughout the season. For the intermediate and advanced skier this huge area will allow you to choose runs ideally suited to your requirements, from cruising motorways to challenging mogul fields.

Hotel Neuhaus - 4 Star | Mayrhofen - Austria

Not only one of the oldest hotels in Mayrhofen, dating back to the 17th century, but also one of the most popular. It is situated in the centre of Mayrhofen and is approximately 8-9 minutes' walk from the Penken cable car and the ski bus stop is virtually outside. Despite extensive renovations, this family run hotel has retained its warmth and charm. It consists of three buildings, the "Neuhaus" and "St Josef" (interconnected by an underground passage way) and the 3 star "Landhaus" annexe 50 metres away.

Traditional family run hotel in a quiet part of the village yet only 5-6 minutes' walk from the centre AND the Penken lift WITH the ski bus stop just 50m away.
