Obertauern sits at the peak of the pass, enjoying high altitude skiing from over 1,700m and rising to 2,350m. The resort enjoys an excellent snow record and is surrounded by 95km of pisted runs, suitable for all levels of skier, all leading back to the village, and often to your door step.

The nursery slopes are all close to the village centre and with a selection of 6 easy lifts including the Zehnerkar cable car, the beginner will soon develop their ‘ski legs' and progress onto the higher and more challenging intermediate blues and reds. There are a number of off-piste runs and very steep black runs to challenge the advanced skier - don't miss the Gamsleiten 2 (G2)!

There are a number of popular bars in Obertauern and après ski can be quite lively.
