Ski holidays in Passo Tonale
Passo Tonale has long been a favourite with British skiers due to its excellent snow record and wide sunny slopes. Here snow is guaranteed thanks to the efficient snow-making system and also the Presena Glacier providing skiing over 3000m.
The runs, which are mainly above the tree line, fan out on both sides of the valley and are well linked by the modern lift system ensuring there is little queueing. Tonale's gentle runs are particularly suited to beginners and intermediates who will see their skiing improve in no time at all!
The village is spread out along the valley and has several lively bars and some excellent restaurants and pizzerias. Keen skiers wanting a quieter nightlife will love the laid-back atmosphere of Tonale.

Accommodation for Passo Tonale
Hotel la Mirandola - 3 Star | Passo Tonale - Italy
This superb family-run hotel, comprises two buildings, the main hotel and a 3 star annexe, the Aamadall, which is connected by an underground tunnel. It is well located only a couple of minutes' walk from the town centre and the Schattberg cable car and it is possible to ski virtually back to the hotel (weather permitting).
Hotel Orchidea - 3 Star | Passo Tonale - Italy
With spectacular views from its elevated position above the village, the Mirandola, originally a hospice dating back to the 12th century, has been renovated with much care and attention. Built on the ancient salt route linking Vienna and Genoa the hospice housed pilgrims for many centuries. Following stringent laws to preserve ancient buildings, the vaulted ceilings have been retained and the use of stone and wood is evident in the décor.
