Ski holidays in Saalbach
The attractive village of Saalbach is a cosmopolitan resort, offering a charming pedestrianized village centre with stylish shops as well as numerous cafés and ice-bars, along with a range of leisure facilities in the area, and a lively après ski scene.
Saalbach is part of the renowned ‘Ski Circus' which connects it with the neighbouring resorts of Hinterglemm and Leogang. This interconnected ski area covers 200km of piste with various access points, so queuing is minimal. Beginners are well catered for with nursery slopes close to the main street. For the intermediate skier this large interconnected area offers a wealth of blue and red runs. For more challenging pistes, the advanced skier will appreciate the long black run under the Schattberg gondola and the ‘Nordabfahrt'and World Cup runs on the Zwölferkogel leading down in to Hinterglemm.
The resort maintains its high reputation, boasting an excellent snow record which is supported by effective snow cannons on all the major slopes, with continuous improvements to the lift system, which include a new 8-seater gondola on the Hochalm and a 6 person chairlift replacing the Kohlmaisgipfellift and Bergeralmlift, planned for this winter.

It is well located only a couple of minutes' walk from the town centre and the Schattberg cable car and it is possible to ski virtually back to the hotel (weather permitting).
