Ski holidays in Söll

The village of Söll is a firm favourite among British skiers, nestled between the Wilden Kaiser mountain range on one side of the valley and the Ski Welt ski area on the other.

The village is a charming Tyrolean resort and has a pleasant centre to stroll around and enjoy the après-ski life, not to mention the excellent facilities on offer in Söll at their leisure centre. Once the evening sets in, the more lively of the resorts in the Ski Welt is most definitely Söll, although you will find some good night life in the other Scheffau and Ellmau as well.

The Ski Welt is Austria's largest ski area and combines not only the resorts of Söll, Scheffau and Ellmau, but also includes Going, Itter, Hopfgarten, Brixen and Westendorf with a ski area totalling over 250km. These resorts offer good nursery slopes for the beginners on the respective village slopes. Once you have progressed from these you will be able to join the intermediates and enjoy much of the whole area on the many blue and red runs available. For the advanced skiers you will particularly enjoy the black runs off the Hohe Salve and the off piste runs such as the Moderer.

This is a wonderful hotel, run by our good friends, Hans and Karin Ager, and is a firm favourite with its cosmopolitan clientele. Set in its own grounds overlooking the village of Söll, the Alpenschlössl has been built alongside the original hotel (Agerhof) and the buildings are interconnected by an underground passage.

Hotel Fuchs - 3 Star | Söll - Austria

The charming hotel Fuchs, compising two buildings, has recently been completely refurbished to a high standard. It is set in a quiet position, yet is only a 4 -5 minutes' walk from Söll's lively centre, and the ski bus stops close by. Much carved pine has been used within the hotel's décor to enhance the atmosphere and we can recommend the leisure facilities with sauna and steam-bath as a great place to unwind.
