Ski holidays in St Anton

St. Anton is without a doubt one of the top resorts not only in Austria but in Europe! This cosmopolitan village, which underwent many improvements for the World Championships 3 years ago is part of the challenging and extensive Arlberg Ski Circus with 260km of piste incorporating the four other resorts; Lech, Zurs, Stuben and St.Christoph. The apres ski is excellent with many lively bars and good restaurants.

Although beginners can be catered for on the slopes above the village, St.Anton, is really an area best suited to the intermediate and advanced skier. For the intermediate, there is a great selection of blues and reds in the Gampen and Galzig areas along with a superb run down the Rendl, and the Valluga has some wonderful long cruising runs. While for the advanced skier there are plenty of black runs/'itineraries' and a wealth of off-piste runs particularly in the bowls below the Valluga. You ought to try out the Mattun run or the steep Schindlerkar gulley and test yourself on the long mogul field on the Osthang down to Feldherrn Hügel to mention but a few.
